The district administration of Rawalpindi has issued a new advisory for admission in Murree.

According to the notification, 8,000 tourist vehicles will be allowed to enter daily during normal weather. The entry of vehicles will be banned from 5 pm to 5 am.

However, there will be no ban on the vehicles of LEAs and emergency services and vehicles carrying LPG, food and beverage.

As per notification Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) will be responsible for all traffic plans.

Earlier, despite the intensity of cold has been reduced but the colours of Murree could not be restored as the Punjab government has extended the ban on tourists’ entry into the city for the next six days last Wednesday.

The death toll in Murree was 21. According to the Rescue officials, the deceased belonged to Lahore, Gujranwala, Islamabad, Mardan and Karachi. Police said most of the people died of hyperthermia due to a shivering cold.
