Novak Djokovic, Tennis no. 1 has been denied entry to Australia after extraordinary incident.

The 20-times grand-slam champion – Novak was landed in Melbourne this afternoon amid a furious backlash at the decision to grant him a medical exemption from a Covid-19 vaccine, allowing him to compete in the Australian Open later this month. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

The world number one was held in the city’s airport for several hours before border forces announced he had not met entry rules and would be deported.

Djokovic has not spoken about his vaccination status, but last year he said he was “opposed to vaccination”. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
