The mother of a young man who committed suicide in Karachi has appealed for videos of suicide scenes to be removed from social networking sites as they are causing her distress. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

She said that the video which is available on social media is being watched a lot. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

She has appealed to the concerned agencies and people to remove it as it will prevent her two young sons and daughters from leaving the house in fear and will not be able to do any work.

“They should hear a mother’s appeal,” she said. A 28-year-old Zuhair son of Hashim committed suicide by jumping from the third floor of a well-known shopping mall in Karachi on Tuesday afternoon. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

Speaking to the international news channel by telephone, he said that Zuhair used to work in a call center.

The mother told that he had been tortured on sectarian grounds four years ago and suffered head injuries since then.

Zuhair’s mother added that Zuhair had secured the first position in mathematics from Karachi University. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

When people found out, they would say, “Despite the position, you did not get the job,” which made him suffer from depression.

She said that his son was a five-time worshiper and very obedient. She used to ask him for household items etc.

Even that day she had sent a message saying ‘I will come’ but he went Lucky Mall.

According to police, 28-year-old Zuhair was suffering from depression and committed suicide due to unemployment and domestic problems. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
